ENOPION’s New Original Production

As our story unfolds, we are taken to a cave where David’s “mighty men” have been driven out of Ammon, by the new King Hanan (heir of King Nahash). David consoles his men and begins to establish the army that God will form to gain the Kingdom.

You will spend time with four of David’s wives, Abigail, Ahinoam, Maacah and Bathsheba and see how difficult it is to be the wife of a King… and one of many.

David’s life is very complex, as he rises from a shepherd boy anointed by the prophet Samuel to be the king of Israel. We travel through the life of David in a “flash back” story -telling style’- from that shepherd boy, to a young man that defeats the Philistine giant Goliath, through the years of fleeing Saul, the sins of adultery, murder and the consequences of rebellion from his son Absalom.

Despite his failures, David is remembered as “a man after God’s own heart” because of his sincere repentance and unwavering faith. God made a covenant with David, promising that his throne would be established forever—a promise that all Christians know to be fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

This is a 2-1/2 hour musical filled with new songs as well as familiar ones. This performance takes you through the life of David and causes you to think just how you fit into God’s plan.
